Asia-Pacific Regional Big 6 Summit 2023
We are pleased to inform you that Persekutuan Pengakap Malaysia, in collaboration with the Asia-Pacific Region of the World Organization of the Scout Movement, is organizing the Asia-Pacific Regional Big 6 Summit 2023.
One of the key performance indicators (KPIs) to achieve Objective No. 1.1 of Youth Engagement Priority in the APR Triennial Plan (2022-2025), is to organize a region-wide summit involving the Big 6 Youth Organizations is organized in 2023 to establish a cooperative project.
Therefore, this summit is aimed at gathering key people from the Big 6 Youth Organisations to investigate how its members can be involved in a collaborative project. The main mission of the APR Big 6 Summit 2023 is to investigate and establish a collaborative, multi-stakeholder project among the young people of the Big 6 Youth Organisations, on the subject of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in one NSO.
Basic information of the event are, as follows:

15 – 18 June 2023 (Thursday - Sunday). Summit participants are requested to arrive on 14 June 2023 and may leave starting at the evening of 18 June 2023, after the closing ceremony. |

Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The exact venue to be announced later. Participants should plan to arrive at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KUL). |
Objectives: |

Eligibility: |
Key Commissioners of any level in an NSO or full-time executives responsible or in charge of Youth Programme; and/or young people between the age of 18 to 26 that have actively been involved with community projects and work related to the sustainable development goals. Each NSO can send up to five participants, with two of them being young people (age 18-26 years old). |
Registration Fee: |
US$250.00 per participant to cover inland transportation, meals, accommodation for the forum duration, forum kit, documents, and souvenirs. |
Accommodation: |
Accommodation of summit participants will be taken care of from the night of 14 June 2023 until morning of 19 June 2023 (5 nights) and any extra nights will be at the cost of the participant/s. Participants will be accommodated in a room sharing basis. Meals shall be provided to participants from dinner of 14 June 2023 until breakfast of 19 June 2023. Those who have any special food requirements may please indicate in the reply slip. |
Working Language: |
The working language of the summit will be English. NSOs are requested to select participants who are able to understand and take an active part in discussions in English. The medium of instructions and inputs will also be in English. |
