The General Association of Scouts of China (TGASC) partnered with Shin Kong Mitsukoshi Department Store, a department store chain in the Republic of China, and Decathlon, a global sporting goods retailer. This partnership promotes Scouting in the country through Scout Day activities and invitesmembership to the Scout movement.

Partners Shin Kong Mitsukoshi and Decathlon invited their customers and their young kids to sign up and join the Scout Day activities. Scout Day is a half-day activity where kids ages 5 to 12 years old are exposed to Scouting activities.

Scout Leaders arranged a station rotation setup where participants learned knot tying, tent pitching, and some fun games. The activities were positively received by the kids as they were excited to actively participate. While the kids are definitely enjoying their activities, their parents were curious on how to join Scouting.

Aside from enjoying the Scout Day activities, participants were also given cool limited-edition items such as badges, a custom-made neckerchief, keychain, and woggles.

The first Scout Day happened on 1 October 2022 in Shin Kong Mitsukoshi Department Store, while the next one was held in Decathlon branches in Taoyuan City and Tainan City on 2 October 2022. Around 100 participants joined the activities.

More Scout Day activities will be held in other branches of Decathlon this month of October and in November. The latest one was held at Taichung City on 8 October 2022 where more than 25 young kids enjoyed.
