National Safe from Harm Policy: Guidelines on how to build a Safe from Harm strategy

Dear Friends,
We are pleased to share that the guidelines for the National Safe from Harm Policy is now available! This new guideline on building a Safe from Harm strategy will allow National Scout Organizations (NSOs) to develop, review and effectively implement Safe from Harm at all levels of Scouting.
The guidelines are structured into three sections, which include information on the different steps to achieve your NSO’s objectives on Safe from Harm, guiding questions and a list of available resources for reference. These sections are:
- Creating or reviewing your National Safe from Harm Policy
- Implementing a National Safe from Harm Policy
- Monitoring and evaluation of the National Safe from Harm Policy implementation
A Safe from Harm modular training programme is also available to support NSOs in training their Adults in Scouting on this subject. The training includes a comprehensive overview of the different elements needed for Safe from Harm to be successfully integrated into Scouting at all levels.
The National Safe from Harm Policy Guidelines are now available in English, French, Spanish and Russian. Translation to Arabic will follow in due course.
